Dear Friends,
I have been contemplating jumping into cyberspace for years and finally! I have taken the leap. This blog goes hand in hand with my web sight (sic) as a vehicle to promote my artwork (RVJart.com) but I also would like it to be more. I see it as a way for collectors and followers to join in a dialogue with me and each other about topics that move us creatively and spiritually.
So where did the name come from? This is “Quaker speak”. I am a member of The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). Over the centuries this religious order has developed (as all religions do) its own phrases and terminology. “This speaks my mind” is a common phrase among Quakers meaning to be like-minded or in agreement with someone or something. Of course the phrase has the obvious meaning as well of this blog expressing my own thoughts.
