Nature Copies Art

The Scream Tree

Here is a case of art influencing how I see the world. If I did not know the painting by Edvard Munch I would not have seen the image in the tree. Interestingly the original title of the painting was The Scream Of Nature so I have an example of  the odd coincidence of nature influencing art influencing nature. This puts me in mind of the quote from Picasso,  There is only one way to see things, until someone shows us how to look at them with different eyes.

This type of damage on a tree is caused by pileated woodpeckers. Very large and prehistoric looking, you can see how birds descended from dinosaurs when you see it fly by.

…and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature. From the poem on the work by Edvard Munch.

Happy Halloween for those who celebrate.
