Every year here in Vermont we get a break in the cold weather for a few days during January. This year it has been a mild winter and nearly snowless so far, very unusual. Still, we are getting our January thaw this weekend.
I started this painting last summer and other work got in the way of completing it… until now. It is like stepping back 6 months in time to warm weather and greenery. A pleasant break, just like the annual January thaw.
