Here is a view of my studio in early spring, with the snow melting and the maple trees budding. In Vermont we call this mud season and by the look of the road you can tell why. I painted this on a blue toned canvas and left the ground show through where ever I could. You can see it in the puddles, where I scraped the trees out of the wet paint and in the sky.
